I’m anxiously anticipating the month of December and not for the traditional reasons. This week it’s Art Basel in Miami which is a huge art exhibition on Miami Beach, but what’s most exciting are the accompanying fairs spread throughout the city and the open bars and events that come along with them.
ProductivityDecreaser and I worked diligently to produce a list of top events to hit up. Mind you, there must be over 100+ galleries, fairs and events going on. This is our hit list.
Wednesday 12/1:
1. Nancy Whang at Bardot
· What is it? DJ Nancy Whang (from LCD Soundsystem/ Juan MacClean)

2. Metric at Art Loves Music
· What is it? Metric is playing the big free opening night concert of Art Basel Miami Beach.
· Cost: Free

· Address: On the beach between 21st and 22nd Streets, right behind Collins Park and The Oceanfront exhibition area.
3. MOCA - LCD Soundsystem Private Show at The Raleigh
· What is it? A show I would give my left breast for.

5. Onitsuka Tiger Celebrates YEAR OF THE TIGER at ART BASEL 2010 at Shore Club featuring Steve Aoki
· What is it? Located inside the lobby at Shore Club, this Onitsuka Tiger event is an Art Basel media and VIP showcase featuring a live art installation by Simone Legno, of Japanese lifestyle brand TOKIDOKI, as well as a viewing of the limited edition Onitsuka Tiger TANSU wooden sneaker sculpture. Music will provided by Steve Aoki, celebrity DJ and founder of music imprint Dim Mak, and catering will be provided by NOBU and TY KU Asian Sprirts.
